So who gets the medicine first? The current policy recommends providing meds to the elderly and the sickest patients. A bioethicist is leading the argument that the elderly have already had a chance to live productive lives and that young adults should be next in line. This makes sense, however a well thought out strategy must be developed for the general good. For example, people in certain industries should be given priority in addition to pharmaceutical and medical workers.
